In 1944, a group of pharmacists in Lombardy decided to rationalise the purchase and distribution of medicines in the area by developing a centralised management system.  Comifar grew steadily over the years, remaining in direct contact with pharmacies, improving structures and working methods, and becoming the leader in pharmaceutical distribution in northern Italy in the 1970s.

Comifar Distribuzione, together with Difarma in Sardinia, is now the largest company in Italy. It familiarises itself with the distinctive features of areas and is able to guarantee exceptional performance in the field of pharmaceutical distribution. It has a logistics platform and a range of products designed to offer pharmacies support of the highest quality.

Thanks to 18 distribution units and 2 hubs, located in mainland Italy and Sicily, our company can quickly distribute approximately 90,000 products (ethical drugs, OTC medications, parapharmaceutical products, laboratory substances and equipment, homeopathy, phytotherapy and veterinary products) to over 12,200 customers, of which 10,600 are pharmacies.

Comifar Distribuzione has also obtained UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and UNI ISO 45001:2018 certifications, thanks to the quality of the service it offers.
